TAT II

The original TAT II model was among the first ground-breaking designs that established the core vision behind the foundation of Caparison guitars.

This classic model has now been reintroduced as a 2025 version, featuring the original neck-through design with a 648mm scale length, 24 frets, and 2 humbucker pickup configuration. Crafted from Alder, the body mirrors the inaugural TAT, delivering a versatile and expansive tonal range.

The distinctive curved top enhances playability while maintaining the exceptional sound quality.

For the 2025 edition, the neck features a robust 5-piece blend of maple and walnut, complemented by an Ebony fingerboard and stainless-steel jumbo frets. The high-output "PH-R" bridge pickup is direct mounted for optimal clarity and responsiveness, complimented with a Caparison “PH-F” in the neck position, with a push/pull CTS tone pot that coil splits both pickups simultaneously for a wider tonal pallet.

The Caparison TAT II is available in 3 finishes: “Interstellar Black”, "Frozen White" and the 1980’s inspired "Light Blue Pearl"

Custom Switching

The TAT II is equipped with a push-pull switch integrated into the tone control, giving you remarkable tonal flexibility even with its dual-humbucker configuration. Pulling up the tone knob coil-splits both the neck and bridge pickups, expanding the range of sounds from full-bodied humbucker drive to crisp, articulate single-coil tones.

Through and Through

The Caparison through-neck is engineered for speed, comfort, and fatigue-free play, while its seamless design maximizes sustain and resonance. This unique construction takes full advantage of a neck-through design: the natural curve of the body top serves as the neck angle, bringing the neck closer to the player. The result is a more natural playing posture, especially when reaching higher frets beyond the 12th.

Caparison Neck Profile

Play faster, smoother, and longer with Caparison’s ergonomic neck grip. Designed for effortless left-hand movement, it features subtle contouring for natural thumb shifts—flatter near the nut, gradually curving toward the body. With a moderate thickness for comfort and stability, it’s built for fatigue-free performance.
