The original TAT model was among the first ground-breaking designs that established the core vision behind the conception of Caparison guitars.

This classic model has now been reintroduced as a 2025 version, featuring the original neck-through design with a 648mm scale length, 24 frets, and an SSH pickup configuration. Crafted from Alder, the body mirrors the inaugural TAT, delivering a versatile and expansive tonal range.

The distinctive curved top enhances playability while maintaining the exceptional sound quality.

For the 2025 edition, the neck features a robust 5-piece blend of maple and walnut, complemented by an Ebony fingerboard and stainless-steel jumbo frets. The high-output "PH-R" bridge pickup is direct mounted for optimal clarity and responsiveness, complimented with Caparison "SH-NC" single-sized humbucking pickups for the middle and neck positions. A 5-way Schaller Megaswitch provides an extensive array of unique tonal options.

The Caparison TAT is available in 3 finishes: “Interstellar Black”, "Frozen White" and the 1980’s inspired "Light Blue Pearl"

Custom Switching

The TAT is equipped with three humbucking pickups—two SH-NC single-size humbuckers and a PH-R humbucker—delivering exceptional tonal versatility. To fully harness this unique configuration, it features a Schaller Mega Switch “M” 5-way pickup selector. Unlike a standard 5-way, this switch enables coil combinations not normally possible, unlocking a wide variety of sounds from sparkling cleans to aggressive leads.

Through and Through

The Caparison through-neck is engineered for speed, comfort, and fatigue-free play, while its seamless design maximizes sustain and resonance. This unique construction takes full advantage of a neck-through design: the natural curve of the body top serves as the neck angle, bringing the neck closer to the player. The result is a more natural playing posture, especially when reaching higher frets beyond the 12th.

Caparison's 15° head angle keeps strings low at the nut without a tension bar, while Gotoh HAP tuners let you set post height by string gauge for perfect alignment and minimal tuning shifts.

Caparison Pickup Mounting

Caparison humbuckers use a three-screw base for precise height and coil alignment, enhancing tone and output while staying secure, even during aggressive playing.
