The new 2023 TAT-Special 7 FM has evolved into the pinnacle of Caparison design. The main body is now constructed from select Australian Blackwood, resulting in a more powerful low-midrange with increased tonal clarity. The fretboard features upgraded Jescar stainless steel jumbo frets, resulting in more stability with a more pronounced attack and sustain. The matt finish on the back of the neck has been extended to the brink of the body, resulting in unbroken smooth and fast playability along the whole profile.

The unique design of TAT-Special 7 FM utilises a hand selected flame maple top, not only as stunning decoration, but due to the 18mm depth of the cut, acts as a legitimate tone wood. This results in a captivating long sustain and gives an initial snap and bite to the overall timbre. The 27-fret neck features a maple-walnut 5-piece construction, used to maintain strength, stability, and overall sound quality balance.

The Caparison TAT-Special 7 FM features a unique curved top body structure that enables a different dimension of playability without sacrificing sound quality. The pickups on the TAT-Special 7 FM are the Caparison original "PH7-bm" on the bridge "PH7-nm" on the neck, delivering a powerful, focused and harmonically rich tone. The controls are practical, instinctive and simple to use utilising the Caparison original ­­­­"Rotary Switch Mode." This additional control operates when the pickup selector is in the centre position, allowing the option of 4 extra, distinctive and eminently usable pickup combinations.

The stunning new body finishes featured are "Moonlight," "Aqua Burst," and "Rose Burst," three new colours that emphasise the quality of the carefully selected flame maple grain patterns. The natural finish of the body sides and back showcases the construction of the TAT-Special's unique curved top shape, the maple-walnut 5-piece through-neck design, and the beautiful grain of the Australian Blackwood.

The unique angular structure of the TAT special model enables the guitar to ‘wrap around’ the player, providing a more comfortable balance and natural playing position. This is particularly beneficial while soloing above the 12th fret.
