Description
The Iconic Caparison TAT is Back!
The Caparison TAT was one of the original models that helped define the brand, and now it’s making a triumphant return as the 2025 TAT model. This high-performance guitar retains the signature features that made it legendary, including a neck-through construction, a 648mm scale length, 24 frets, and an SSH pickup configuration. Built with the same alder body as the original, it delivers a well-balanced tonal range, making it an excellent choice for both recording and live performances.
For 2025, the TAT has been upgraded to enhance durability, playability, and sound quality. The neck is now made from a five-piece combination of maple and walnut, providing added strength and stability. Stainless steel jumbo frets ensure a smooth playing experience and long-lasting durability, while the ebony fingerboard offers a premium feel with crisp articulation. The bridge pickup is directly mounted for improved response and a clearer sound, allowing every note to shine with precision.
The pickup configuration features Caparison’s high-output “PH-R” humbucker in the bridge position, paired with “SH-NC” single-size humbuckers in the middle and neck positions. This versatile setup is controlled by a Schaller Megaswitch M 5-way lever switch, giving players access to a wide range of tones suitable for any playing style.
One of the standout features of the TAT is its uniquely curved top body, designed to maximize both comfort and playability. Unlike traditional guitars, where the neck angle is adjusted to fit the body, the TAT’s arched top naturally creates the ideal playing angle. This design allows for effortless access to higher frets, particularly beyond the 12th fret, making intricate solos and high-register playing feel incredibly natural and fluid.
The TAT is available in three striking finishes. “Interstellar Black” is a deep, metallic shade that enhances the guitar’s sleek aesthetic. “Frozen White” is a pearl finish with a pure, transparent look, while “Light Blue Pearl” is a nostalgic sky-blue hue reminiscent of classic 1980s guitar colors.
With its refined construction, powerful sound, and unmatched playability, the Caparison TAT is a perfect blend of heritage and modern innovation. Whether you’re recording in the studio or performing on stage, this guitar is built to inspire and deliver at the highest level.
