Description
The Iconic First-Generation TAT II is Back!
The Caparison TAT II, one of the brand’s original models, has returned, bringing its legendary craftsmanship and playability to a new generation of guitarists. This high-performance instrument features a neck-through construction, a 648mm scale length, 24 frets, and an HH pickup configuration, delivering exceptional sustain, resonance, and tonal versatility. Built with an alder body—the same material as the original—it produces a rich, well-balanced sound that is perfect for both recording and live performances.
Designed for ultimate playability, the TAT II’s signature curved top body enhances comfort and accessibility without compromising sound quality. Unlike traditional guitars, where the neck angle is adjusted to fit the body, the TAT II’s arched top naturally creates the ideal playing angle. This design allows for effortless access to higher frets, particularly beyond the 12th fret, making complex solos feel more fluid and intuitive.
The neck is constructed from a five-piece combination of maple and walnut, providing superior strength and stability. Stainless steel jumbo frets offer a smooth, long-lasting playing experience, while the ebony fingerboard enhances articulation and clarity. The bridge pickup is directly mounted to improve response and deliver a crisp, defined sound.
The TAT II is equipped with a high-output Caparison PH-R humbucker in the bridge position and a PH-F humbucker in the neck position, offering a powerful yet smooth tone. Additionally, the push-pull switch integrated into the tone control allows for coil-splitting on both pickups, unlocking a wide range of sonic possibilities to suit any playing style.
This model is available in three striking finishes. “Interstellar Black” is a deep metallic shade that emphasizes a bold, sleek look. “Frozen White” is a pearl finish with a transparent, pure aesthetic. “Light Blue Pearl” is a nostalgic sky-blue hue reminiscent of classic 1980s guitar colors.
With its refined construction, powerful sound, and ergonomic design, the Caparison TAT II remains a standout instrument for players seeking the perfect balance of tradition and innovation. Whether on stage or in the studio, this guitar delivers the performance and versatility that serious musicians demand.”
