Description
The Dellinger-JSM was developed with Joel Stroetzel, based on the Caparison Dellinger II FX-WM, and is the first Caparison guitar to feature a pick guard. The Dellinger-JSM has a “WM” body structure, which is Walnut on the top and Mahogany on the back, compensates for the low range which is reduced slightly by the use of a pick guard. The Walnut top, gives the guitar a wide tonal range, from the richest bass to the clearest treble, whilst the Mahogany back sustains and maintains the impressive clarity and definition this guitar delivers. The Caparison Fixed Bridge, employs a large movable range for the saddle that corresponds to a wide selection of string gauges and tunings. This is complimented with a saddle lock function to prevent any unwanted resonance and Hipshot locking tuners to stabilise the tuning capabilities. The Dellinger-JSM is fitted with a 5-piece Maple and Walnut neck for increased stability.
The Dellinger-JSM comes complete with Fishman Fluence Killswitch Engage Signature pickups, which pack tremendous versatility into one set of pickups. Voice 1 begins with the Fishman Modern recipe, but Joel & Adam prefer a tighter bass for more note definition and screaming midrange and harmonics. In the bridge, Voice 2 contains an extremely unique vintage/medium output hybrid passive tone, equally great for cleans, crunch, and searing leads, while the neck produces a crystal clean, fluid voice. In addition, there are unique single coil voices for each pickup, to nail the perfect modern active “hot” coil split, and vintage passive true single coil tones. These active pickups are powered by a Fishman rechargeable battery pack, featuring a current capacity similar to a premium 9-volt alkaline battery, which is rechargeable via a standard mini-USB cable.
“I am very pleased and proud to have the Dellinger-JSM as my new signature model! The five-piece neck and walnut top give it the depth and sustain of a set neck, yet it retains the familiar grip and feel of a bolt on maple neck guitar. The Fishman electronics sound absolutely fantastic and compliment the guitar perfectly. It is capable of all the modern and classic tones one could hope for! Beyond being an incredibly solid and versatile instrument, it also happens to be quite stunning visually! The pickguard, black binding and black clock inlays are pure class. MANY, MANY thanks to Caparison for making this dream guitar of mine come to life! I could not be happier! I truly feel that anyone who has the pleasure of playing the Dellinger-JSM will feel the same!” – Joel Stroetzel
